Lectrodryer Named Small Business Manufacturer of 2013 by Kentucky Association of Manufacturing

RICHMOND — A Madison County business has been named the 2013 Small Business of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers. Lectrodryer is a leader in the manufacturing of custom-designed absorption and purification equipment for use in hydrocarbon refining, chemical processing, gas manufacturing and refining, solvent drying, sewage treatment and power generation. Ninety percent of the 100 largest industrial firms in the United States use Lectrodryer equipment for dehumidification. Lectrodryer’s products are in use on every continent except Antarctica.

The firm prides itself on meeting each customer’s unique requirement for every product by offering in-house engineering and fabrication, according to its award citation. Purchased by two employees from its parent company in 2001, Lectrodryer has enjoyed growth through its unique focus on the global markets. A significant portion of its business is focused on supplying dryers outside of the United States.

In recent years, Lectrodryer has shown its commitment to the community through consistent job creation. Twenty-five additional jobs have been added since 2010 as well as an annual internship program. Lectrodryer and its employees actively participate in local and regional groups including Madison County Industrial Management Club, Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky World Trade Center and the College of Business at EKU.
